Dr. Kenneth A. Ciardiello

Dr. Ciardiello graduated from UMDNJ - New Jersey Medical School in 1968. He completed a General Surgery Residency at Albany Medical Center Hospital/Albany Medical College. Following military duty as a surgeon with the U.S. Army, he returned to New Haven in 1975 to begin his career as a general surgeon.

He has been involved in clinical surgery practice throughout his career. He has served on the
teaching faculty at The Hospital of Saint Raphael and Yale New Haven Hospital. He was Vice Chairman of Surgery and Program Director of the Hospital of Saint Raphael Surgical Residency Program. He was also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery with the Yale University School of Medicine. 

Dr. Ciardiello has authored papers on a variety of topics related to his specialty. As a general surgeon, he has expertise in the full spectrum of general surgery including colon and rectal, hernia, gallbladder and biliary, gastrointestinal, laparoscopic, breast and endocrine surgery.

Dr. Ciardiello is certified by and a member of the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, American Hernia Society, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, and The New England Surgical Society.
